Struggling to get approved for Mediavine

I have been stuck at around 40k sessions for a while and keep getting rejected by Mediavine. My niche is Scandinavian home decor which is high value, but they say my engagement is too low. Should I try a smaller network like Monumetric first or just keep pushing for more traffic?
