AdSense invalid traffic warning after sudden spike

My site got a huge traffic jump yesterday from Pinterest and now AdSense sent me a policy warning about invalid traffic. I am scared they will ban my account before the month ends. Does anyone know if I should turn off ads until the traffic settles down?
