Profitsence Full Review - Should You Trust It?

What Is Profitsence?

Profitsence is a reseller company that sources ads from other advertisers and offers them to publishers, claiming to enhance their ad revenue. The company presents itself as an ideal partner by promising higher CPMs, meaning publishers can potentially earn more per thousand impressions. However, being a reseller, Profitsence takes a substantial commission from the earnings, which can significantly reduce the actual revenue received by publishers.

How Does Profitsence Work?

As a reseller, Profitsence does not produce or manage ad campaigns directly. Instead, it acts as a middleman, taking ads from other advertisers and distributing them to publishers. While this model can work efficiently, it often results in high 25% commission fees, which eat into the publisher’s actual earnings. From my experience, I’ve noticed a notable difference in earnings and CPMs compared to other networks like Google AdX.

Direct Comparison: Profitsence vs. Google AdX

In this section, let’s look at specific examples comparing Profitsence with Google AdX, so publishers can see how their earnings might differ:

ProfitSense:

  • Earnings: $40
  • CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions): $0.45

Google AdX:

  • Impressions: 132,000
  • Earnings: $326
  • CPM: $2.48

These examples highlight that Profitsence generally provides lower CPMs than Google AdX, which can significantly affect a publisher’s revenue.

Analysis

Both ProfitSense and Google AdX are showing ads from multiple demand partners, with ads that are essentially the same. However, the earnings are significantly different. The effective earnings through ProfitSense show an approximate 85% decrease compared to Google AdX, despite both using similar ad demand sources.

Pros + Cons of Using Profitsence

Pros

  • Easy Setup: Profitsence is straightforward to set up, making it ideal for beginners.
  • Ad Format Variety: They provide multiple ad types to engage users effectively.

Cons

  • High Commission Rate (25%): Profitsence takes a 25% cut from publisher earnings, which is higher than many other networks.
  • Transparency Issues: Many users report unclear details about Profitsence’s deductions and commissions.
  • Lower CPM Compared to Google AdX: Profitsence has a generally lower CPM, leading to less revenue per thousand views.
  • Support: Zero Support For Publishers

My Personal Experience with Profitsence

On my website, 99.9% of the traffic comes from Tier 1 countries. For traffic from Tier 1 countries, every ad network and reseller typically offers the highest CPM. As shown in the screenshots, Google AdX has provided CPM rates ranging from $2.48 to $6.42, with averages around $4.7 CPM. If there were transparency in ProfitSense, they might offer similar CPM rates, but it seems unclear what goes on in their backend. On the dashboard, they show very low impressions and a minimal CPM.

I even requested proof from them regarding these discrepancies, but they only provided the data available in my dashboard, without any additional transparency. My personal review is that ProfitSense should be avoided. They take a 25% commission from every $100 earned, which means if you see $100 added to your dashboard, the backend revenue was likely closer to $200.

After testing Profitsence, I noticed a significant difference in earnings compared to Google AdX. Despite similar traffic volumes, Profitsence offered much lower CPM rates. I reached out to their support on WhatsApp for clarification, but the responses did not fully explain the lower earnings or deductions, which affected my confidence in their service.

Conclusion: Should You Choose Profitsence?

Profitsence may be a good option for new publishers seeking an easy start with ads, but experienced publishers might find the lower CPM and high commissions less attractive. If you already use Google AdX, switching to Profitsence could mean a noticeable drop in earnings.

Choosing an ad network is essential for your revenue, so consider all aspects before making a decision.
